Using the digital input/output module SM 1223 DC/RLY – 6ES7223-1PH32-0XB0 from Siemens your SIMATIC S7-1200 controller can be expanded by 8 digital inputs and outputs each. The digital module SM 1223 DC/RLY – 6ES7223 processes input signals with 24 V DC and has 8 changeover contacts with a max. switching current of 2 A at 30 V DC/250 V AC.
The memory of the CPU can be expanded by means of a memory card, while the PLC is configured using the STEP 7 Basic software in the TIA Portal. The micro PLC has a wide range of networking options via various communication standards by means of integrated functions (PROFINET, Modbus, etc.) or add-on modules (IO-Link, AS-i, etc.) and thus offers maximum flexibility in the topology and when setting up the networks.
